With many different makes and models of stairlift available, we are sure to find one to suit your needs, and style.

We can fit a stairlift to almost any type of staircase, be it straight, L-shaped or half landing.

All stairlifts are attached to your staircase, eliminating any damage to walls or fixtures. They can also often be used in conjunction with your hand rails, provided your staircase is wide enough.

We are also able to offer a wheelchair lift for less able bodied clients. Click on the BC Lift link on the left to see more detailed information...

Straight type - These are the most common type, and can be fitted to straight, or L-shaped staircases.

In some cases, two separate straight stairlifts can be used instead of a single curved type.

Curved type - These are usually custom made to order. This ensures a perfect fit to your staircase. They can be fitted to L-shaped and half landing type staircases with no breaks from bottom to top.

As you can see, they can run on the inside or outside of your staircase.

Hinged tracks can also be used, if there is an obstruction at the bottom of the staircase such as a door way.

With the powered hinge option, simply press the park button on the remote control and the stairlift will move to it’s charging point and automatically lift the hinge, leaving the pathway below clear.

Manually operated hinges are also available.

Other Features & Benefits

Fold up design, to save space when the stairlift is not in use.

All the new stairlifts are battery powered, with charging points at the top and bottom of the stairs, so in the event of a power failure, you will still be able to use the stairlift.

Remote controls at the top and bottom of the stairs mean you can move the stairlift without having to use the arm controls. Particularly useful if you have more than one stairlift user.

Swivel seat design. At the top of the stairs, the seat will swivel up to 90° enabling the user to step off directly onto the landing. The seat then acts as a safety barrier.

The swivel mechanism is available as manual or power assisted option.

Safety edges are located on the footplate and carriage enabling the stairlift to instantly stop should it encounter a foreign object in its path.
